Teams typically add Maps 📍 by Airspeed to their #general channel, team channels, location-based channels, and more. You can add your Team Map to multiple channels and bookmark it to the top of Slack channels.
When someone new joins a channel where Maps is installed, they’ll receive a prompt to add their home office location.
No, we do not track your location. Your home office location will not automatically update if you move or travel. To change your location, edit your home office location in the app.
When new users join a channel where the Maps app is installed, they will receive a message prompting them to add their home office location.
Absolutely! When you add your upcoming travel, your teammates can share recommendations for the location or plan meetups. Simply add your destination and the dates you’re traveling, and your travel pin will be added to the Team Map.
The App Admin can import locations in the Home tab of our Slack app using a CSV spreadsheet file. We provide instructions in Slack to guide you. You’ll download our CSV file template, then add your team’s home office locations. You can send the file back to use via the Messages tab in the Maps 📍 Slack app.
⚠️ Note: people who are not in a channel with the Maps app will not receive important notifications for the Team Map. We recommend adding it to the #general channel to make sure everyone is included.
We use Slack authentication to ensure that only members of the workspace can open and view the workspace’s Team Map link.
Yes, if you have Airspeed’s First Class plan you can connect to your HR system and import locations.
